5. Will installing an aftermarket amp interfere with the parking sensors on my Dodge Charger?

In most cases, the amp won't interfere with parking sensors. The sensors are on the bumpers and use ultrasonic waves, not radio frequencies. The problem usually comes from signal wire placement. If you run a high-power wire next to the sensor harness, you can introduce noise into nearby electronics.

My rule: keep RCA cables and speaker wires at least 18 inches away from any factory harness, and ground the amp directly to the chassis. I've seen more than one tech misdiagnose a parking sensor issue when the real problem was a ground loop. That's a feeling you remember after two days of debugging.

6. I have a 2014 Toyota Corolla with a roof rack. Does that matter for a sound upgrade?

It matters more than you'd think. A roof rack adds wind noise, and wind noise changes the sound pressure level in the cabin at highway speed. If you're tuning your system and you drive with the rack on, tune it with the rack on. It sounds strange, but the noise floor affects what you hear.

It also matters if you're running a subwoofer in the trunk. The roof rack won't rattle at a specific frequency, but it can create a resonance at certain speeds. If you hear a weird buzz at 70 mph, it might not be your panels—it might be the rack. Every install is context-dependent. Where you drive, what you carry, and how you use the car all change the setup.

7. How do you actually check quality before a product ships?

I've been doing this for over four years, and it's not glamorous. We run power tests, distortion tests, and temperature tests on every model line before it reaches customers. When I implemented our verification protocol in 2022, we rejected 6% of first deliveries in Q1. Sounds bad, but it caught issues early.
